Eats: Trian, A Fusion Pasta Marvel
Ciao, bella! It's Sara here again.
This weekend, my friends and I took the time to visit Trian, a restaurant located in Cheong-dam. A dinner to be repeated, our meal was too scrumptious for it to be left unspoken.
Known for its Pork Belly Pasta and Beef Brisket Pasta, the fusion pasta restaurant, Trian, left my mouth wanting more. In fact, it has been introduced on Tasty Road, a popular TV show that broadcasts famous restaurants worth trying.
Flaunting its casual vibe with calming music playing in the background, the restaurant was deemed to be the perfect rendezvous for a simple family dinner outing or a friends gathering.
The first entree served was bread. This bread, however, was not like any other. Its chewiness had a gravitating effect. My appetite was far from getting tired of its taste and texture.
The picture above was our scrumptious appetizer, Oriental Beef Brisket Salad Box. A perfect amalgam of meat and salad, the dish was definitely a keeper. As you can see, the overflowing amount of content in the dish was, indeed, satisfying for four voraciously hungry girls. A notable tip for you all: this dish can be a bit overwhelming for a party of two.
What's shown above is the meal that I ordered, namely the Sweet and Spicy Beef Brisket Yaki Pasta. With a tinge of spice, the dish brought back nostalgic memories of the times I devoured the traditional Korean noodle, Bibim-NaengMyun. Of course, the dish I ordered here had a more rich and flavorful taste.
A friend of mine ordered the Lily of the Valley Oil Pasta, as demonstrated in the picture above. Because it wasn't the dish that I had ordered, I never got to get a bite of it. Regardless, the visual and smell of this dish were fantastic.
The third dish that I'd like to share with you all is the Squid Oriental Cream Pasta. What a meal! Inside the body of the squid harbored the cream pasta that was soon devoured. Although it differs for each person, for me, this dish leaned towards the more heavily greasy side.
Similar to the Yaki Pasta I previously ordered, this Pork Belly Pasta was a stunner. It was less spicy than the Yaki Pasta and the irresistible taste of pork mixed with pasta was surprisingly pleasant. Apparently, this dish is one of the hottest entrees out of the menu at Trian. I highly recommend you try it on your visit.
Below is the menu of the restaurant.
Each of the the appetizers and the main dishes were almost around 20 US dollars. Other than those two, there were also other entrees like a risotto and wine.
Last but not least, I would like to bring closure to this blog post by ending it with the entire shot of our dinner table. What a feast! :)
